The high point of the night, to be sure, will come when the 16 countries
that have qualified for the finals find out their opponents for the sixth
edition of the FIFA junior championship. But all attendees on the night
will also be treated to a slice of life from the twin-island republic,
the smallest nation ever to be awarded a FIFA world championship.

Interview
Mboma: "Cameroon is making the whole of Africa happy"
Patrick Mboma, who plays for AC Parma in Italy, has a great year 2000
to look back on: with Cameroon he won both the African Nations Cup
and the Olympic football tournament, and in addition he himself was
selected as Africa's Footballer of the Year. Now 30 years old, he is
setting his sights even higher for the future - he dreams of winning
the World Cup next year.
FIFA Magazine: You have had an exceptionally successful year 2000; on a personal level you were voted Africa's Footballer of the Year and with Cameroon you won the African Nations Cup and the Olympic gold medal. What do these three titles mean to you?
